The linguistics of Borat

'Borat' is a comedy character created by British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen. 

 

The character himself is from Kazakhstan and supposedly speaks Kazakh.

In reality:

• Borat speaks Hebrew (with Polish phrases) and English
• Azamat Bagatov spoke Armenian
  
• Borat's daughter Tutar speaks Bulgarian and English
• The people of Kazakhstan (in the films) speak Romanian
• The Kazakh writing is nonsense typed in Russian Cyrillic letters

Therefore the Kazakhs of Borat's world speak 6 languages, none of which are Kazakh, or even a Turkic language.
